Environmental Health Statement of Purpose: To inform, educate and protect the people of Barberton concerning those potential and immediate environmental conditions  that may have an adverse effect on their health and safety. Nursing Division Statement of Purpose: To prevent disease and to promote and maintain the quality health and well being of the citizens in the Barberton Health District (BHD).  To provide nursing services through department-based clinics, outreach, and community-based programs which will be delivered in a professional, compassionate and confidential manner. Vital Statistics Statement of purpose: To record and store all Birth and Death certificates for the City of Barberton, from the current back to and including 1909 and the City of Norton from the current back to and including 2001.  Maintaining these records with accuracy and integrity for statistical purposes for the well-being of the citizens of Barberton and Norton. Community Health Education Statement of Purpose:  To improve the health of the community by providing information and educational programs, which will empower individuals to make informed decisions, and to undertake action regarding their health. Administrative Division To prevent disease and promote, maintain and improve the good health of the people living and working within the Barberton Health District; to educate the community about public health matters; and to enforce/implement State of Ohio and local public health programs.
